Strawberry Cake by Zhoira Strawberry Cake by Zhoira
Just a simple cake, took a commission to make a strawberry cake slice charm from a friend so thought I'd make a miniature version too ^^

Polymer clay, air dry clay for the frosting.

Absolutely amazing and I'm rather impressed of the textures since I'm a chef and, darling, that looks so real.

Also posted in tumblr if you don't mind. [link]

Woow it looks amazing
Just one thing- the cake looks a little hard, like a biscuit, rather than light and fluffy? But other than that, it looks so realistic I would eat it right away!! :la:

anytime~
Keep up the good work! :la:
Actually, how does one achieve different textures when dealing with clay? Is it to do with the physical exterior of the clay (you know, poking and messing with the outside with a toothpick)or do you add some other stuff to it to make it turn rougher in texture?

Haha there's plenty of tutorials on dA if you're interested in the specifics, but yeah common tools are sandpaper, needle/toothpick, tearing, etc, nothing added xD
